Meet The Performer – Boris and Doris von Sneeze, Appearing At Our Varietease-a-Rama, 12 September, Carmarthen Lyric

With our next show happening tomorrow night at Carmarthen’s Lyric, we thought we’d better introduce you to a dynamic duo, familiar to those who come to our shows! It’s Boris And Doris Von Sneeze, bus pass-powered burlesque at its finest!

Boris and Doris first hit Bluestocking in 2011 and have since caused a storm whenever their cheeky lip-sync acts, which poke fun at old age couples with a naughty wink, hit the stage. They travel to shows in Boris’ Del Trotter style three wheeler (complete with screen banner!). Nik, who is one of the Bluestocking Lounge team, says Boris and Doris are his favourite act we’ve ever had, and Revue Studios founder Stacey can always be seen crying with laughter at routines that include ‘Big Panty Woman’ and their tribute to John Travolta and Olivia Newton John.

Boris and Doris embody the spirit of music hall entertainment, with cheeky songs, but bring it into modern times and relevance. As well as appearing on the cabaret circuit they also perform at belly dance events and charity shows, and have been known to go down a storm at shows in a care home (in fact Doris nearly lost Boris to an amorous fan!)

You can check them out here: https://www.facebook.com/BorisAndDorisVonSneeze and see them tomorrow night at The Lyric. Tickets are available from 0845 226 3510
