Meet The Performers Of Our Clwb Kaboom Show, Friday 20 March: Kitty Kane

As you know Bluestocking Lounge just celebrated our fifth birthday, and Carmarthen’s Lyric was the home of our joint production with Theatrau Sir Gar/Cabaret Rouge Cymru… Five years later we are still collaborating with them to bring shows to the Carmarthenshire audience, with our sister night Clwb Kaboom!. So, with this in mind, we are chuffed to have Pontypridd native Kitty Kane On The bill  as she was a big part of our first ever show!

Wales’ very own sweetheart Kitty Kane has been on the burlesque scene for many years and her quirky take on cheesecake has seen her starring in a film used as a backdrop during Manic Street Preachers’ live shows among other high-profile engagements. She last performed as the special guest of Bluestocking’s first showcase back in 2011 and helped support many of the new performers making their debut that evening. She also hit a high note when she performed aerial hoop at our joint production with Burlesque Cardiff – the Welsh Burlesque Festival in 2013.

Since that time, she’s been jet setting across the world performing in Detroit, Toronoto, Cyprus and more. Now living in the big smoke, we’ve heard this Pontypridd native is totally chuffed to be returning to her roots in Wales and performing at Clwb Kaboom! this friday and she will be bringing some awesome acts for the lucky audience including an evil queen with a rock ‘n’ roll twist, and one that has echoes of her first performance for us back in February 2010 (she was the March Hare at the Mad hatter’s Tea Party – seems she likes tea quite a lot!). Without revealing too much, she says: “The act is about my love for tea, I love tea, I love dancing, I love being naked with sparkly bits – it’s a bit like a lush bath bomb but for tea lovers!”

We can’t wait to see what she has in store!

See Kitty Kane at Clwb Kaboom! Ffwrnes Theatre, Llanelli this Friday 20 March. There’s less than 20 tickets left so better get in there quick: 0845 226 3510 or from this link:
