Well we’ve got to take our hats off to everyone who joined us on New Years Eve at Hogarths – just by turning up and having a great time, you all raised £1425 for our chosen charity Shelter Cymru!
We joined forces with Hogarths Gin Palace (which we have to say is a pretty brilliant location to drink a few cocktails!) to host a seasonal Victorian soiree featuring international acts from across the UK which Hogarth himself would have found amusing – we had Betty Blue Eyes, Tickety Boo, Lilly Laudanum, magician (and master of strip poker) Dee Riley and fabulous vintage singer the Divine Miss Em, who has graced stages across the world, including the famous Sin City Theatre in Las Vegas.
On behalf of ourselves and Lisa, Lee and the Hogarths team we would like to thank each and every one of you for choosing to spend the last moments of 2015 with us and welcome in 2016 – because in doing so, you raised a shed load of cash for charity! You might not have realised it at the time, as you sank that lovely celebratory glass of bubbly, but you were being a hero!
Lee, Lisa and Lilly Laudanum last week presented the money raised to Deborah Docherty from Shelter Cymru and she said she was blown away by the money raised…
