We really cannot wait for Saturday night’s All-righty, Aphrodite show at the Arts Wing this Saturday, even more so because one of our favourite performers is in town! Step forward the wonderful Kiki Lovechild…
Those who were regulars at our Carmarthen shows will probably remember the clever comedy of Kiki. His colourful (and often furry) characters and unforgettable routines make Kiki a must-see on the cabaret circuit with acts including a modern take on a French act which was actually made popular in the 1600s by Parisian street performer Tabarin. Kiki’s version is Chapeaugraphy as you’ve never seen it before!
One of the leading cabaret clowns on the UK circuit, Kiki calls himself a “professional idiot”, and thousands have witnessed his comedy genius over the years he has graced cabaret, burlesque and theatre stages worldwide. Drawing upon skills that include mime, physical theatre, puppetry and illusion, his repertoire includes stunning butterfly spectacles and funny furlesque episodes.
He also runs masterclasses in the art of comedy technique and has taught and collaborated with others in far-flung lands including Asia. He’ll be bringing his successful Clowning for Cabaret Masterclass to Swansea as a pre-show workshop at Revue Studios (head here to book).
We cannot wait to see him in action – and we know you will just love him! He’ll be joining the bill that also features Luna Rosa, Ophelia Wilde, Lilly Laudanum and Taffy Bo Jangles. Doors open 7.30pm – get there early to get the best seats in the house!
