There’s three days left of 2015, which means three more days to grab your tickets for the party to end the year: Grin ‘n’ Tonic, A Victorian Festive Soiree, which takes place at Hogarths, Swansea. And today we’re introducing you to a performer who is certainly no stranger to the Bluestocking crowd, the lovely Miss Betty Blue Eyes!
Performing on stages across the UK since 2009, Miss Betty Blue Eyes’ style nods towards the vaudeville tradition of theatrical burlesque with acts that are clever, comical and always louder and larger than life. Take her elegant and ingenious ode to Liberace, where her glamorous gown hinders her performance in a hilarious way, or ‘Whales Forever’ – a clever case of play on words, and her reverse strip always wows audiences, who ask, ‘How did she do that?’ The answer: always with tongue in cheek and a cheeky wink!
She’s wowed audiences at some of the UK (and beyond’s) most renowned burlesque and cabaret shows, including sets at high profile The Missy Malone and Friends Show, Pepebianco Italy, Kinky & Quirky’s, Joe Black’s House of Burlesque, Neil Kendal’s Goldust’s, Ministry of Burlesque’s Twisted Cabaret, 100 Watt Club, Bram Stoker International Film Festival Whitby, The Secret Garden Party and is a current cast member of The Burlesque Show, which hits selected venues across the UK.
We cannot wait to see what she has in store for New Years Eve!
