It’s time for us to introduce you to another performer – and taking one of the newcomer slots we have Hadria Hellbound! She’s been a regular at Cardiff Cabaret shows for a few years, so we asked her to tell you all a little bit about herself! Take it away, Hadria!
“I’m Hadria Hellbound and originally started about four years ago in the Cardiff Cabaret club troupe, run by Foo Foo Labelle. I’d seen burlesque online and immersed myself in it and started learning even before I knew of Foo, by watching online tutorials and reading as much as I could!
I first got onto a stage on my own in early 2016 at Ten Feet Tall in Cardiff and love the freedom to develop my own acts, as well as be part of the troupe – it’s a great contrast as my style is so different to traditional ‘cheesecake’ and any excuse to throw myself into a new costume is a good one, I can usually be found surrounded by beads and rhinestones!
I love the community around burlesque, we in Cardiff are a family (albeit a weird one!) and we’re always there for one another, with support and guidance for both acts and life. I wouldn’t be without it now, it’s a huge part of my life and is how I met my partner, who is thankfully incredibly supportive of me. It’s truly one of the best things I’ve ever done and has allowed me to do so much in such a short time.”
Hadria Hellbound will be appearing tomorrow as part of the line-up for Fight For Your Right To Party! Doors open 7.30pm!
