Just a few days to go before we hit Swansea Grand Arts Wing for our latest show and we’re excited to introduce you to Dainty Dorine!
Based in Cardiff but hailing from over seas, we’ve fancied this French follie ever since we clapped eyes on her artichoke! She is the epitome of all things burlesque with a collection of larger than life creations bursting out of her garter belt – for instance a sexy stripping telephone – we bet you’ll never see such a titillating transmitter or raunchy receiver as this!
We hear she’s also a keen swinger – of the dance variety – regularly attending events across the UK and beyond – she was recently out swinging as late as 5am at Salt Mine in Krakow! There’s not a lot of people who can say that!
Burlesque wise, this leafy lass started her burly journey as a dare in April 2015 as part of the Cardiff Cabaret troupe, performing her first solo in February the following year and she has not looked back since! Her artichoke, among other acts, have taken her across the UK – and was one of the stand out acts at Belfast Burlesque Festival’s newcomer competition last year.
We just love Dainty Dorine because her acts reflect her French heritage and can’t wait to see her romantic ‘It Must Be Love’ at Saturday’s show -which also includes a nod to another of her loves – Suggs, who she has met twice in real life (though we’re assured she kept her kit on those occasions!)
You can catch the best beret-toting burlesquer in Wales this Saturday at Swansea Grand Theatre Arts Wing alongside headliners Lady Wildflower, Ozgen, Vanity Dare, Lilly Laudanum and Jewel Personality. Doors open 7.30pm – get there early for the best seats in the house!
